LAX to WAW Non-stop - LOT Polish Airlines Business Class
with complete 180 degree recline seats

We arrived at Warsaw airport - the capital of Poland!

Also, Warsaw is the piano capital of the world!? According to Wikipedia,
this Chopin Piano Competition was initiated in 1927 and has been held every five years since 1955!

1 Warsaw (3 days)
2 Poznan (2 days)
3 Wroclaw (2 days)
4 Krakow (3 days)

=under construction (so many photos to choose!)=

1 Warsaw

Our 1st challenge was to read the instructions in Polish to get train tickets,
but finding our 5-star hotel, Warsaw Marriott, was easy even at night - right by Warsaw's Central Train Station!

It looks as tall as the Palace of Culture and Science
one of the tallest on the European continent.

Next morning, yes, heavy traffic like LA.
We take the trams, so no problem :)

First, Centrum Nauki Kopernik (Science Centre).

Can you see us?

Next, Muzeum Narodowe (National Museum).

2 Poznan

Don't you know Poznan? Well, we did not know, either.
Poznan is located between Berlin and Warsaw.

and this pretty town is a less known gem.

Market Square

Poznan Town Hall

Poznan Fara, known as the Parish Church
is a Roman Catholic basilica located in the heart of the Old Town.

Next morning, we checked the other side of the city - New Town?

Wolności Square (Freedom Square)

3 Wroclaw

After checking in Hilton DoubleTree, another very nice hotel ...

Sand Bridge and Tumski Bridge in the center of Wroclaw brought us over to Cathedral Island.
We found many 'love' padlocks on Tumski Bridge, but ...

We attached our special anniversary lock on Sand Bridge :)
Sand Bridge first mentioned in 1149, is considered to be the oldest in Wroclaw.

We'll be back!

Wroclaw Market Square (Rynek)

It took a while to select a restaurant since there are so many nice looking ones at this Market Square.
We enjoyed the traditional Pierogi and stuffed cabbage "golakki" at Karczma Lwowska.

4 Krakow

Wawel Royal Castle and Wisla River

Krakow Observation Balloon

So cute!

View from our 5-star Sheraton Grand Hotel we stayed
at the foot of Wawel Castle and Vistula River

Dinner time - Old Polish style, of course!

No car?  No problem!

Wait! I have to try this Nakielny's cake before we leave Krakow.

ICCC (Inter City) Train from Krakow back to Warsaw - 1st class private room for us :)

We're back in Warsaw and feel like home.
